Rudolf Kratochwill

Rudolf Kratochwill (born November 14, 1898 in Brno , Austria-Hungary , † 1974 in Munich ) was a German actuary and insurance manager .

Life

After the end of the First World War , Rudolf Kratochwill studied actuarial mathematics at the German Technical University in Brno . There he was received by the Corps Marchia Brno in 1919 . In 1923 he moved to Hamburg, where he joined the Corps Suevo-Borussia . After completing his studies as a qualified actuary, he began his professional career in the insurance industry . In 1930 he was chief mathematician and member of the board of the Deutscher Ring Lebensversicherung . Since spring 1932 Kratochwill belonged to the right-wing elite society for the study of fascism as a full member. He was also a member of the NSDAP .

Kratochwill became general director of the Deutsches Ring in 1935 , before 1933 owned by the German National Handicrafts Association and now a company of the National Socialist German Labor Front . In the self-governing bodies of the insurance industry, he headed the life and health insurance business group and the advisory board of the Reich Supervisory Office for Private Insurance.

After the Second World War he moved to the Gerling Group , which he was a member of until his retirement .
