Rudolf Kurt Leberecht von Loeben

Baron Rudolf Kurt Leberecht von Loeben (* 1690 ; † November 22, 1746 in Habelschwerdt ) was a royal Prussian major general, chief of garrison regiment No. 8 and heir to Falkenberg, Matzdorf and Schildkow.

His parents were the Prussian Lieutenant General Kurt Hildebrand von Loeben and his first wife Dorothea Juliane von Krosigk († April 20, 1711), a daughter of Ludolf Lorenz von Krosigk .

He entered Prussian service in 1712, became an ensign on August 16, 1717 and a lieutenant in 1720. On June 13, 1723 he became a captain in Infantry Regiment No. 25 (Rutowski). On May 3, 1730 he became a major, in 1738 a lieutenant colonel and on May 25, 1743 a colonel. In November 1745 he was promoted to major general and received the 8th Garrison Regiment . He died in Habelschwerdt in 1746.

He was married to Sophia Frederike von Arnim , daughter of Field Marshal Georg Abraham von Arnim .
