Ludolf Lorenz von Krosigk (born February 4, 1627 in Hohenerxleben Castle ; † September 13, 1673 near Treuenbrietzen ) was a Brandenburg war council , chamberlain and colonel .

Life

Ludolf Lorenz von Krosigk came from the noble family Krosigk . He was the youngest son of Gebhard Friedrich von Krosigk (1579-1630) and his second wife from 1623 Brigitta, born von Behr († 1667). His older brothers were Vollrad (1612–1660), Matthias (1616–1697) and Jacob Anton (1624–1704); his sisters were Bertha Sophie von der Asseburg († 1686) and Kunigunde, who married Stephan Hermann von Schkölen to Großensaltza on March 15, 1640 . After Ludolf Lorenz lost his father at the age of three, they appointed Bodo von Bodenhausen's father to his co-guardians Diederich von dem Werder and Kuno Ordomar von Bodenhausen .

In 1642 he began training at the Gymnasium in Halle an der Saale with the rector Christian Gueintz and in 1645 at the University of Jena . In 1646 he entered the Swedish military service under Lieutenant General Hans Christoph von Königsmarck . After he returned to his estates, in 1652 he accompanied Gustav Adolph, Duke of Mecklenburg-Güstrow on a long journey to the south of the empire; it also took him to Strasbourg for a long time , where he met his future wife Rosamunde Juliane.

In 1653 Krosigk was accepted into the Fruit Bringing Society under the company name of the Erlabende . His society plant were "Hertzröselein Gras" (rose grass?) Or "White Negelein" ( carnations ), his society word was "Ein weak Hertz", his membership number was 607. His father and his two oldest brothers were also members there.

In the same year he entered the service of the French army as Rittmeister . In 1656 he resigned and went back to Strasbourg. Before he started his journey home, he held his wedding there.

On June 3, 1656 he married Rosamunde Juliane in Strasbourg, born of Closen zu Heidenburg (* June 12, 1628, † March 25, 1694), a granddaughter of Hans Urban von Closen .

In 1657 Krosigk changed to Kurbrandenburg services as Colonel Sergeant in the Regiment of Johann Georg II, Prince of Anhalt-Dessau , soon afterwards as adjutant general of the Kurbrandenburg Army, in 1661 in Brunswick-Wolfenbüttelsche services as court master of the young Duke Rudolph August , 1665 in Brunswick-Calenberg services as Lieutenant Colonel and then Colonel of Duke Georg Wilhelm in Celle. In 1667 he led Brunswick auxiliary troops to the Netherlands. In 1668 he traveled to England. In 1671, Elector Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg appointed him his chamberlain, in 1672 a councilor and entrusted him with diplomatic missions to the Netherlands, the Electoral Palatinate and the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt and in 1673 to Stockholm and Copenhagen.

After his return in August 1673, he died on September 13 at the age of 46 after 16 hours from the gunshot wounds he had suffered in a duel near Treuenbrietzen. The day before he had been fatally wounded with three bullets in the abdomen by the challenger, Lieutenant Colonel von Strauss, at the high or fetch mountain.
