Wilhelm Dietrich von Bülow

Baron Wilhelm Dietrich von Bülow from the Abbensen family (* 1664 ; † February 10, 1737 in Berlin ), was the Prussian chief steward and minister of state .

Life

origin

Wilhelm Dietrich came from the Mecklenburg noble family von Bülow and was a son of Paul Joachim von Bülow (1606–1669), Brunswick Chamber President and Lucie von Ahlefeld († 1692).

Career

Bülow was chief steward of the Electress and later Queen Sophie Charlotte .

On January 17, 1701 he was one of the first knights of the Black Eagle Order , who were honored with the newly established highest Prussian civil order on the occasion of the coronation celebrations , where Bülow walked to the left of the Queen.

Bülow later became Prussian Minister of State and Real Privy Councilor , as well as Captain of Spandau .

Bülow, together with his brothers Joachim Heinrich , Kurhannoverscher Privy Council, Thomas Christian , Braunschweig-Cellescher Rat and Oberhauptmann, Cuno Josias , Hannoverscher Lieutenant General , Johann Otto , Braunschweig-Lüneburg District Administrator of Emperor Joseph I with a diploma from December 16, 1705 in the Imperial baron ranks.

In 1711 Bülow became Chancellor of the Black Eagle Order. He died as the last of the knights of the order appointed by King Friedrich I.

Bülow married Christine Antoinette von Krosigk, a daughter of Ludolf Lorenz von Krosigk ; Several children emerged from the marriage:
