Rudolf Luster (born January 20, 1921 in Berlin-Schöneberg ; † February 12, 2000 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Luster began studying law and political science at the University of Berlin , which he completed with the second state examination in law. In 1950 he was appointed as a judge at the Berlin district court . He was admitted to the bar in 1963 and has also worked as a notary since 1970. Luster joined the CDU in 1945. He was a co-founder of the Junge Union Deutschlands and from 1950 to 1952 chairman of the Junge Union Berlins. In addition, he was a member of the Berlin CDU state executive for several years and from 1954 to 1969 district chairman of the CDU Berlin-Steglitz . In 1973 he became a member of the CDU Federal Party Court. He was a city ​​councilor in Berlin from 1950 to 1951 , served as Senate Director at the Berlin Senator for the Interior from 1955 to 1963, and was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1967 to 1979 . From 1976 to 1980 he was a representative of Berlin in the German Bundestag . From 1978 to 1994 Luster was a member of the European Parliament .
