Rudolf Otto (painter)

Rudolf Otto (born August 31, 1887 in Groß Schönau , † September 9, 1962 in Dresden ) was a German-Bohemian painter.

Life

Rudolf Otto studied from 1905 at the Dresden Art Academy with Carl Bantzer and Robert Sterl . He was a temporary member of the Willingshausen painters' colony and mainly painted landscapes, still lifes and genre paintings . He lived and worked in Dresden- Loschwitz from 1937/1938 and was a member of the Association of Visual Artists in the GDR (VBK). His grave is in the Loschwitz cemetery in Dresden.
