Rudolf Schaper (born July 15, 1881 in Springe , † December 22, 1945 in special camp No. 8 Torgau (Fort Zinna) ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ), lawyer and notary.

Live and act

After attending grammar schools in Braunschweig and Herford , Schaper studied law and political science in Kiel , Heidelberg and Göttingen . In 1905 he passed the legal traineeship exam and then volunteered in a field artillery regiment for a year. His assessor examination followed in 1911. He then settled in Magdeburg as a lawyer and notary .

From 1914 to 1918 Schaper took part in the First World War, most recently with the rank of lieutenant in the reserve. After the war he returned to his profession as a lawyer and notary. Politically, he began to get involved in the Stahlhelm in 1919 , where he became the local group leader in Magdeburg . In addition, he was accepted into the Federal Board of the Stahlhelm. On April 1, 1926, Schaper joined the NSDAP, in which he did not stand out.

From November 1933 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Schaper was also a member of the National Socialist Reichstag on the Reich election proposal .

In August 1945, Schaper was arrested by the Soviet occupying forces in Magdeburg and, as an active member of the fascist party, sent to special camp No. 8 in Torgau , where he died on December 22, 1945.
