Rudolf Wahrendorff
Karl Oskar Rudolf Wahrendorff (born August 29, 1864 in Ilten , † December 16, 1932 in Kassel ) was a German physician and psychiatrist.
Life
Rudolf Wahrendorff was the son of the founder of the sanatorium in Ilten Ferdinand Wahrendorff . He studied medicine at the Universities of Würzburg , Freiburg and Göttingen . In Würzburg he joined the Corps Nassovia in 1885 and the Corps Suevia in Freiburg in 1886 . He received his doctorate as Dr. med. After a time as an assistant doctor in the psychiatric university clinic in Berlin , Rudolf Wahrendorff took over from 1898 as the head of the family's own sanatorium in Ilten on Gut Köthenwald, which was significantly enlarged under his leadership. He was appointed to the medical council in 1912 . The facility developed under his direction to the Wahrendorff Clinic .
Honors
- Corps loop of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen (1907), ribbon award 1927
- Rudolf-Wahrendorff-Straße in Ilten and a building complex of the Wahrendorff Clinic were named after him. His wife Louise is also the namesake of one of the buildings of the Wahrendorff Clinic.
- A trawler built in 1928 at the Seebeck shipyard for Finnish accounts was named after him with the fishing license number PG 383 by the fishing shipping company Grundmann & Gröschel ; it was taken over by the Navy as an outpost boat (V-209) in 1939 and sunk in an aerial combat off Saint Peter Port in 1944 during the Second World War .
