Rudolf Wahrendorff

Karl Oskar Rudolf Wahrendorff (born August 29, 1864 in Ilten , † December 16, 1932 in Kassel ) was a German physician and psychiatrist.

Life

Rudolf Wahrendorff was the son of the founder of the sanatorium in Ilten Ferdinand Wahrendorff . He studied medicine at the Universities of Würzburg , Freiburg and Göttingen . In Würzburg he joined the Corps Nassovia in 1885 and the Corps Suevia in Freiburg in 1886 . He received his doctorate as Dr. med. After a time as an assistant doctor in the psychiatric university clinic in Berlin , Rudolf Wahrendorff took over from 1898 as the head of the family's own sanatorium in Ilten on Gut Köthenwald, which was significantly enlarged under his leadership. He was appointed to the medical council in 1912 . The facility developed under his direction to the Wahrendorff Clinic .
