Rudolf von Versen

Rudolf Ernst Wilhelm von Versen (born March 16, 1829 in Krampe , Fürstenthum district , † September 17, 1894 in Bublitz ) was a German manor owner and administrative officer.

origin

His parents were Heinrich Friedrich Ludwig Christoph von Versen (* April 21, 1791; † November 18, 1863) and his second wife Ulrike Juliane Amalie von Kameke (* November 18, 1803; † March 18, 1880).

Life

After attending grammar school in Köslin , Rudolf von Versen studied law and camera science at the Friedrichs-Universität Halle and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . In 1849 he was in the Corps Borussia Halle recipiert . As a one-year volunteer , he served in the hussar regiment "Fürst Blücher von Wahlstatt" (Pommersches) No. 5 . He became a Landwehr officer in the Dragoon Regiment "Freiherr von Derfflinger" (Neumärkisches) No. 3 . Von Versen worked as a government trainee with the government in Koslin . After his marriage to Helene von Versen at the beginning of 1859, he resigned from civil service. He took over the Lehngut Krampe and bought the Koppelberg estate, which he has been managing ever since. In the Franco-Prussian War he volunteered . He served as an officer in the garrison squadron of the Neumärkische Dragoon Regiment, which performed garrison service in Kolberg . He was district deputy and from 1887 to 1893 district administrator of the Bublitz district . He was a knight of the Order of St. John .

He married on January 5, 1859 Helene Beatrice Julie Virginie Rosamunde von Versen (born October 18, 1832). The couple had several children:

  • Rudolf Ernst Louis Leopold Lorenz (February 12, 1860 - June 28, 1887), Prussian lieutenant
  • Ulrich Ernst Friedrich Karl (February 2, 1861; † 1906), German consul in Salonika
