Rudolf Freiherr von Waldenfels (2nd from right), 1930

Rudolf Freiherr von Waldenfels (born September 23, 1895 in Ingolstadt , † August 14, 1969 in Rottach-Egern ) was a German show jumper and officer , most recently lieutenant general in World War II .

Life

Waldenfels served as an officer in the First World War . After the war he switched to the Reichswehr and worked as a commander in various units. From 1930 to 1936 he headed the jumping stable of the cavalry school in Hanover.

In the Wehrmacht he led the 6th Panzer Division as commander during World War II .
