Rudy Diaz

Rudy Diaz (* 16th October 1918 in Arizona as Adolph Diaz , † 5. December 2006 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Diaz married actress Dorothy Abbott in 1949 and worked as a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department in the 1950s . Abbott received a recurring guest role in the 1953 crime series Dragnet , and two of his cases were processed as a police officer in the series. After the marriage had gone between Diaz and Abbott to pieces, committed this 1968 suicide . Diaz had already given up his profession the previous year and was aiming for an acting career. He made his film debut in 1968 alongside James Stewart , Dean Martin and Raquel Welch in the western Bandolero . He then played alongside Clint Eastwood in Coogan's big bluff , alongside Omar Sharif in Che! and Mackenna's Gold and alongside John Wayne and Rock Hudson in The Undefeated . His short film career came to an end just a few years later, most recently in Don Siegel's The Great Coup . He also appeared in television productions, including guest roles in television series such as Bonanza , Detective Rockford - a call is enough and Hawaii Five-Zero . With the beginning of the 1980s, his engagements decreased. He had his last appearance in 1993 in the drama Painted Desert .

Diaz was married for the second time, he had no children.
