Rudy Molard (born September 17, 1989 in Gleizé ) is a French road cyclist .

Career

Rudy Molard drove for the club team CR4C Roanne in 2010 and for CC Étupes in 2011 . In the 2011 season he won a stage at Toscana-Terra di Ciclismo-Coppa delle Nazioni as a member of the French U23 national team . At the end of the year he started at the world championship in the individual time trial of the U23 class, in which he finished 10th. At the end of the year he also drove for the Professional Continental Team Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne as a stagiaire , where he became a professional in 2012. In 2013 and 2014 he competed in the Tour de France .

After six years at Cofidis, the Frenchman moved to the UCI WorldTeam FDJ for the 2017 season . In 2018 Molard won the 6th stage from Paris – Nice , at the Vuelta a España , after he was able to distance the previous leader Michał Kwiatkowski from an escape group on the 5th stage, he took over the red jersey of the overall leader for four stages .
