Ruediger John (* 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian artist .

Live and act

He creates situational, installation , interventionist , research and publication-oriented works; as well as definitional and practical work in artistic research and systemic art and transfer art come from him. As an artist, he has been supporting companies with critical-aesthetic coaching and consulting since 1997 .

Since 2000, Ruediger John has been teaching in lectureships and guest lectures at various universities; u. a. 2001–2003 as an artistic and scientific assistant and with an artistic teaching assignment, situational , installation work , contextualization , cognition , mixed media at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart . From 2002 to 2003 he was a substitute professor in the field of art / art and design studies at the Pforzheim University of Design, Economics and Technology . From 2004 to 2005 he taught on the subjects of art and economics, systemic art, artistic research at the Institute for Art in Context at the University of the Arts in Berlin , as well as at the Center for Applied Cultural Studies and General Studies University of Karlsruhe . He is the founder of the Society for Critical Aesthetics (2003).

Ruediger John studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart , as well as at Columbia University and New York University , New York City (affiliate / guest).
