Vulnerabilities

In January 2010 netzpolitik.org received information that the personal data of the approximately 50,000 user accounts would be openly accessible via a security gap in the Ruf Jugendreisen online community . With this information, netzpolitik.org turned to Ruf Jugendreisen, whereupon the community was taken offline until the security gap was eliminated.

Also in January 2010, Heise online drew attention to another security leak in the online booking system. It was therefore possible for attackers to access third-party booking reservations and thus obtain personal data. Access to the reservations was deactivated by Ruf Jugendreisen online immediately after the notification from Heise in order to establish a new procedure as soon as possible.
