The ruins of Walkenstein , also known as Falkenstein or Valkenstein , are the ruins of a spur castle at 359  m above sea level. NN on the western foothills of the "Webersköpfles" in the Walke district of the municipality of Oberwolfach in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg .

The tower castle was probably built by the Counts of Fürstenberg in the 14th century as a guard and residential tower to secure the valley and to monitor the mining rights and the transport of ore. In 1364 Aigelwart von Valkenstein is mentioned as the owner of the castle. From 1988 to 1990 the remains of the tower castle were archived and secured.

From the former castle complex, which consisted only of a residential tower, the up to two meter high and square remains of the foundation wall of the residential tower with the dimensions of 7.80 by 8.75 meters and an average wall thickness of 1.50 meters have been preserved. Its masonry consists of granite rubble stones. On its east side, towards the rising mountainside, the tower has a neck ditch .
