Ruitsch is a district of Polch in the Mayen-Koblenz district ( Rhineland-Palatinate ). About 520 people live there, the number of inhabitants has been rising steadily for years.
geography
Ruitsch is located in the Eifel around 17 km west of Koblenz in the immediate vicinity of the A 48 . The place is on the Nette . The Ruitsch district is 4.2 kilometers from Polch and is separated from the city by the motorway. Ruitsch can be reached through a tunnel. Ruitsch is bounded in the east by the A 48 and in the south-west by the Nette.
In 1336 Rötz (later also called Reutz or Rötsch ) was first mentioned in a document. Today's townscape is characterized by old quarry stone buildings. The Ruitsch mill on the banks of the Nette is today the federal center of the Tomburger Knights Association .

According to the main statute, the district of Ruitsch is the only local district of the city of Polch and therefore has its own local advisory board and a local councilor .
The town council in Ruitsch consists of six members, in the local elections on May 26, 2019 in a majority vote were elected, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Günter Martin is the mayor of Ruitsch. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was elected for five years with 77.21% of the vote.
Attractions
The small chapel in the center of the village should be emphasized , which was built in 1830 on the foundations of its predecessor. It houses a relic , one of the cross particles , which is certified in a deed of donation from 1761.
