The 2002/03 season was the 73rd season of the Romanian Ice Hockey League , the highest Romanian ice hockey division . Champion was for the 38th time in the history of the Steaua Bucharest .

In addition to the finalists of the ice hockey cup held at the beginning of the season, the other participants also qualified for the championship in qualifying games . In the main round, each of the four teams played a total of 36 games. The two first placed qualified for the championship final. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
