Rupert Stadler (* 1951 in Golling an der Salzach ) is an Austrian theologian.

Life

He attended elementary and secondary school in Golling. From 1966 to 1972 he attended the private high school Borromäum and studied theology at the University of Salzburg and University of Vienna . Cardinal Franz König ordained him a priest in 1980.

From 1980 to 1983 he was chaplain in the Breitensee parish in Vienna. In Salzburg he did his doctorate with the dissertation student pastoral. Evaluation of an empirical study in three student houses of the Catholic University Community in Vienna in 1986. Under Professors Josef Müller and Paul Zulehner he was an assistant at the Institute for Pastoral Theology at the University of Vienna from 1981 to 1987 . He was student chaplain and university chaplain from 1983 to 1993.

In 1990 he became pastor of the parish Breitenfurt-St. Bonifaz , in 2006 also from the parish Breitenfurt-St. Johann Nepomuk . From 2007 to 2011 he was dean of the Perchtoldsdorf dean's office . From 1996 to 2011 he was a clerical adviser to the Austrian Catholic Family Association.

From 2011 to 2016 Rupert Stadler was Episcopal Vicar for the Vicariate under the Vienna Woods . He teaches pastoral theology at the Heiligenkreuz University of Applied Sciences.
