Otto Breicha Prize

The Otto Breicha Prize for Photo Art is awarded every two years by the Museum der Moderne Salzburg .

The prize was launched in 1983 as the Rupertinum Photo Prize with Otto Breicha as director of the Rupertinum, which was founded in the same year . Until 2001 it was awarded every two years. The prize has been named after Otto Breicha since 2007 and is again awarded every two years. It is secured until 2017 through the endowment of 5,000 euros from the Breicha family. The prize is awarded to an Austrian or Austrian living photographer and photo artist for their previous work.
