Rusagro ( Russian Русагро ) is a Russian agricultural company that produces sugar , pork, and oils and fats ( sunflower oil , margarine , mayonnaise ). The company was founded in 1995 by Vadim Moschkowitsch .
Rusagro owns almost 500,000 hectares of land in the Oblasts of Belgorod , Voronezh and Tambov . The beet sugar is produced in six sugar factories . The production of oils and fats takes place in Yekaterinburg and Samara . In recent years, large pig fattening farms with 12 * 4800 places have also been built. It also has its own slaughterhouses and feed mixing plants.
A new large location is currently being developed in the Primorye region .
history
Vadim Moschkowitsch founded a sugar trading company in 1995, from which Rusagro later emerged. The company acted as an intermediary between Ukrainian sugar manufacturers and Russian confectionery manufacturers. The Russian Black Earth region to Belgorod was after the collapse of the Soviet Union no longer to meet domestic sugar demand in the area. In 1997, Moschkowitsch took over the Agrointer company and renamed his company Rusagro . In the same year, the Rschew sugar factory in Belgorod was taken over. Since the import ban on food from the European Union came into force, Rusagro has achieved record sales.
