The Russian River is a river in the US state of California, about 177 kilometers long .
The Russian River rises in Mendocino County a few kilometers north of the Redwood Valley and Calpella villages through which it flows . It then flows south past Ukiah and Hopland .
He then passes through Sonoma County , where he passes Cloverdale , Asti and Geyserville and runs through Healdsburg . After the river has flowed west past Windsor , it bends west at Forestville .
Then it flows among other things via Guerneville , Monte Rio and Duncans Mills to Bridgehaven , to flow into the Pacific near Jenner from the east .
The Russian River drains a catchment area of around 3,846 km².
