Ruth Müller born Huber (born March 10, 1967 in Munich ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She is the parliamentary group leader in the district council of Landshut . In the state elections in Bavaria in 2013 , she was elected to the Bavarian state parliament. In the 2020 local elections , she ran as a candidate for the Landshut district.

Life

Ruth Müller completed her secondary school leaving certificate in 1983 at the Realschule in Rottenburg an der Laaber . She then completed an apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman . From 1986 to 1990 she was deputy director in retail. Since 1990 she has been a sales assistant at a Swiss industrial company based in Landshut. She is married and has a son.

Political career

In 1989 she founded the 'voter community Die Landjugend' and ran for the first time in 1990 for the district council in the Landshut district. She joined the SPD in 2002 and has been a district councilor (in Pfeffenhausen) of the SPD ever since . She is also the chairwoman of the SPD district association Landshut and deputy district chairwoman of the SPD Niederbayern.

Public offices

Ruth Müller has been a district councilor since 1996. In 2008 she ran for the first time as a direct candidate in the Landshut constituency for the Bavarian State Parliament. In 2013 she ran again and came third in the constituency of Lower Bavaria and was able to defend it in 2018 . Furthermore, Müller is a member of the Committee for Food, Agriculture and Forestry and a member of the Committee for Environment and Consumer Protection.

Further commitment

In addition to her party-political commitment, she is, among other things, an assessor at the Bund Naturschutz Pfeffenhausen, as well as secretary at the BRK Pfeffenhausen and the Freundeskreis Landshut - Rayon Novosibirsk. In addition, in 2000 she was elected to the parish council of the Evangelical Lutheran Trinity Church in Rottenburg.

She is a participant in the “ Dialog Forum East-South Landshut Bypass in the course of the B15neu ”, which was set up on April 7, 2015 .
