Ryan Grant (born December 19, 1990 in Beaumont , Texas ) is an American football player. He plays in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers as a wide receiver .
Career
In high school , Grant played for West Brook Senior High School in his native Beaumont. He then moved to Tulane University , for whose football team he played from 2009 to 2013. During this time he got in 47 games a total of 196 pass catches, with which he could reach 2,769 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Through his performance, he participated in the 2014 NFL Draft and was selected in round 5 at number 142 by the Washington Redskins . He played his first game in week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars . His first touchdown, however, should not succeed until the following season in week 7 in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers .
For the 2018 season, the Baltimore wanted to sign Ravens . However, since he failed the medical test, the Ravens waived an obligation, which made him a free agent . On March 20, he was finally able to conclude a contract with the Indianapolis Colts for one season.
The following season he signed with the Oakland Raiders . However, he was only used in the first two games of the season and was finally released on September 25, 2019 after Justin Phillips was promoted to the active squad and took his place in it.
He was then able to sign a contract with the Green Bay Packers on October 16, 2019 .
