Ryan Kenwood Hollins (born October 10, 1984 , Pasadena , California ) is a retired American basketball player who was last under contract with the Memphis Grizzlies in the American professional league NBA . The 2.13 m tall Hollins played mainly on the position of the center .

From 2002 to 2006 he played for the UCLA Bruins and averaged 5.5 points and 4 rebounds per game.
Career
Hollins was selected 50th in the 2006 NBA Draft. He was the 100th drafted player who had previously played at UCLA . In his freshman season, he averaged 2.6 points in 27 games. He stayed in Charlotte until January 16, 2009, before being sent to the Dallas Mavericks with Matt Carroll for Desagana Diop . On August 3, the Minnesota Timberwolves offered him a $ 7 million contract for 3 years. The Mavs did not stop the offer and so he moved to Minneapolis. On July 26, 2010, Ryan Hollins and Ramon Sessions were transferred to the Cleveland Cavaliers . Sebastian Telfair, Delonte West and a second round pick went to Minnesota for this. Hollins was released from the Cavs on March 20, 2012. Three days later, the Boston Celtics signed him for the remainder of the season. With the Celtics, Hollins was able to move into the Conference Final of the Eastern Conference. There the Celtics had to admit defeat to the Miami Heat . For the 2012/13 season , Hollins moved from Boston to the Los Angeles Clippers . After his contract in Los Angeles expired, Hollins signed a one-year contract with the Sacramento Kings . In November 2015, Hollins signed a contract with the Washington Wizards . In December he moved to the Memphis Grizzlies , where he ended his career at the end of the season.
