The Söhler between Netphen and Breitenbach in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Siegen-Wittgenstein is 490.1  m above sea level. NHN high elevation of the southern Siegener mountain region .

geography

location

The Söhler rises in the areas of the city of Siegen and the city of Netphen . Its summit is 1.5 kilometers (km; in each case as the crow flies ) southwest of Netphen and 1 km north-northeast of Breitenbach. On the southeast slope of the Söhler rises the Weiß tributary Breitenbach , on its northwest slope the Sieg tributary Schmällenbach , and on its eastern slope with the Halbach also a tributary of the Sieg.

Natural allocation

The Söhler belongs in the natural area main unit group Süderbergland (No. 33), in the main unit Siegerland (331) and in the subunit Südliches Siegener Bergland (331.0) to the natural area Südliches Siegener Bergland (331.04). Its landscape falls to the northeast into the subunit Siegerland Rothaar Vorhöhen ( Siegquellbergland ; 331.2).

Traffic and walking

The former district road  11, which today is only released for agriculture and forestry, leads over the Söhler . In addition, an extensive network of small asphalt farm and hiking trails leads over the mountain.
