Søby Kirke

Søby Sogn is a Danish parish ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Ærø . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Ærø Herred in what was then Svendborg Amt , then to Ærøskøbing Kommune in what was then Fyns Amt . In the run-up to the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 , the parish was assigned to the Ærø municipality in 2006 , which has been part of the Syddanmark region since 2007 . The church “Søby Kirke” is located in the parish.

The neighboring municipality is the parish of Bregninge in the southwest .

On January 1, 2020, the community had 597 inhabitants, 438 of whom lived in the church village .
