The Süddeutsche Handballverband e. V. ( SHV ) was a regional association within the German Handball Federation (DHB) , which dissolved on July 1, 2016. The SHV was based in Munich .

SHV representative in the 1st Bundesliga

Frisch Auf Göppingen is represented in both the men's and women's teams in the 1st Bundesliga. In addition, the men's teams from Rhein-Neckar Löwen and HBW Balingen-Weilstetten as well as the women's team from HC Leipzig play in the top German division.
