Zug 94 is a football club from the city of Zug . The club was formed in 1994 from the merger between FC Zug and SC Zug and plays in the first division , the fourth highest Swiss league.

Stadium and sports facilities

The Hertiallmend stadium, built in 1979, has a natural grass pitch and offers space for a total of 4900 people (2400 seats and 2500 standing places). There are a total of seven playing fields (including two modern artificial turf pitches) on the Hertiallmend, Herti-Nord and Riedmatt facilities (playing field created in 1994).

In the 2007/2008 season, SC Cham played its Challenge League home games in the Hertiallmend stadium.

Team Zugerland

Team Zugerland, the performance department (top youth football) of all Zug football clubs at junior level, has been an integral part of the organization of the Zug Football Association in recent years and has been integrated into the club structure of Zug 94 since the 2009/10 season.

The competitive sports department of Zug 94 consists of 5 teams. The U-15 and U-14 take part in the championship in national competitive football (top junior football). The U-13s play in the newly founded FOOTECO championship of the Swiss Football Association (SFV). The U11 / U12 attend two base training sessions a week and take part in tournaments. However, the players remain licensed for the championship operation with their home clubs.

Zug 94 Team Zugerland is part of the Central Switzerland team, which also includes FC Luzern ( Super League ) and SC Kriens ( Challenge League ). The Central Switzerland team has Label 1 of the Swiss Football Association.

The football club Zug 94 was formed in 1994 from the merger of FC Zug and SC Zug . Today it is the largest football club in the canton of Zug .

The SC train , established on 19 April 1915 as FC Excelsior, played in the seasons from 1939/40 to 1952/53 in the second highest Swiss league. Then in lower leagues. In 1975/76 the club missed promotion to the NLB with a 2-0 defeat against SC Kriens. This was successful in the 1982/83 season. In 1983 the club surprisingly finished with the NLB title under coach Ottmar Hitzfeld and played for one season (1984/85) in the NLA. The 15th place among 16 teams, however, meant immediate relegation. The team stayed in the second division until relegation in 1991/92. In the 2010/11 season, Zug 94 had to accept relegation to the 2nd interregional league for the first time.

The FC train , established on 17 July 1923 has no equivalent Palmarčs . But at least he played in the NLB in the 1985/86 and 1989/90 seasons.
