Andreas Hilfiker (born February 11, 1969 in Aarau ) is a former Swiss football goalkeeper and current goalkeeping coach .

career

In 1986, Hilfiker moved from his youth club FC Kölliken to the offspring of FC Aarau . In 1997 he moved to the German 2nd Bundesliga for promoted 1. FC Nuremberg . There he fought a three-way battle with Rainer Berg and Christoph Müller for the space between the posts. Therefore, he came to 18 second division games in his first year in Germany. After the club's march through to the Bundesliga , he held the regular position at the beginning of the season, which he lost to the newly signed Andreas Köpke after the winter break . He came to 17 first division games.

In 1999 he moved to Tennis Borussia Berlin (TeBe) in the 2nd Bundesliga. There he was a regular goalkeeper and reached 13th place with the club. After the license withdrawal for TeBe, he moved to the first division relegated SSV Ulm in 1846 , where he replaced Philipp Laux , who had moved to Borussia Dortmund . Here, too, he was a regular goalkeeper, but was replaced by the young talent Holger Betz at the end of the season when relegation to the amateur camp was almost inevitable .

In 2001, Hilfiker was without a club for a short time and was then signed by FC Vaduz . There he ousted Javier Crespo , who then went to Chur 97 . Hilfiker played one season in National League B for Liechtenstein before moving to FC Luzern . In 2004 he went to FC Zug 94 , where he played until May 2005.

In May 2005 he ended his active career and became a goalkeeping coach at FC Thun . For the 2007/08 season, Hilfiker was hired by FC Aarau as a goalkeeper coach, and during the winter break he moved to VfL Wolfsburg .
