[SIC] , subtitled magazine for literature , is a German-language literary magazine that appears at irregular intervals and is published by the [SIC] -Literaturverlag .
The magazine was founded in 2005 by Christoph Wenzel , Daniel Ketteler and Gilbert Dietrich. A special focus is given to the literary form of poetry , which was rather underrepresented in literary magazines at the time of its founding .
In addition to texts by young authors, the magazine published poems or prose by Marc Degens , Aris Fioretos , Dieter M. Gräf , Durs Grünbein , René Hamann , Norbert Hummelt , Adrian Kasnitz , Georg Klein , Günter Kunert , Mascha Kurtz , Stan Lafleur , Christoph Leisten , Jürgen Nendza , José FA Oliver , Jürgen Ploog , Joachim Sartorius , Norbert W. Schlinkert , Achim Wagner , Jan Wagner , Jan Skudlarek and Ron Winkler . [SIC] also organizes readings and offers young writers a forum.
The editors explain the name of the magazine, which refers to the usual editorial comment or emphasis " sic " in texts, as follows: "[SIC] means that it really is there! You have not misread!"
[SIC] belongs to the association expressly "young" literary magazines that have been presenting themselves together since 2007 , funded by the German Literature Fund .
