Christoph Wenzel (born May 4, 1979 in Hamm ) is a German writer and editor .

life and work

Wenzel studied German and English at RWTH Aachen University and received his doctorate there. Wenzel, who works as an editor, university employee and freelance writer , primarily writes poems that have been published in numerous anthologies and magazines . He made his debut in 2005 with the volume of poems zeit aus der Karte ( Rimbaud Verlag ), followed in 2010 by the band Tagebrüche at Yedermann Verlag and in 2012 the title weg vom fenster appeared in Edition Haus Nottbeck . and in 2015 the volume of poetry lidschluss in the edition Korrespondenzen . Together with Daniel Ketteler , he has been publishing the literary magazine [SIC] since 2005 and has been running the [SIC] literary publisher since 2011 . In 2013, Wenzel was awarded the Rolf Dieter Brinkmann Scholarship . "Because of his decisive and courageous work on himself, which has repeatedly and continues to be critical of his own writing," said Enno Stahl for the jury .
