Daniela Seel

Daniela Seel (born December 4, 1974 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German poet , translator , editor and publisher .

Life

In 2003 Daniela Seel founded the independent publisher kookbooks - a laboratory for poetry as a way of life - together with the book designer and illustrator Andreas Töpfer . In addition to her work as a publisher, critic and editor , she is the author of poetry. Her poems have appeared in magazines , newspapers, anthologies , on the radio and on the Internet, including in the literary magazines Between the Lines and Edit , Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , Deutschlandfunk , poetenladen.de and in the anthologies Lyrik von Jetzt (DuMont 2003) and Jahrbuch der Poetry (S. Fischer 2009, DVA 2011).

For her first volume of poetry I can't find this place again (kookbooks 2011) she received the Friedrich-Hölderlin-Förderpreis , the Ernst-Meister-Förderpreis and the Art Prize for Literature from Lotto Brandenburg.

Daniela Seel lives in Berlin .

education

Seel began studying immediately after graduating from high school, but changed subjects and universities several times. From 1996 she studied German and literature in Berlin. In 1997 she did an internship in a small publishing house and from then on worked as a freelance editor and proofreader. When the publishing house developed into an agency for communication and media services, she was offered a position as a permanent editor . Seel broke off her studies and completed an apprenticeship as a publishing clerk parallel to her job .
