René Hamann

René Hamann (born August 23, 1971 in Solingen ) is a German writer .

Life

René Hamann was born in Solingen in 1971, grew up in Emmerich am Rhein and studied German , English and philosophy in Cologne. From 1993 to 2000 he was a member of the Cologne Authors' Workshop . His poems are part of pop literature , and he often uses motifs from music and films in them.

His novel “Foam Forever” is based on the dramaturgy and motifs of soap operas and uses poetic language and calculated alienation to transform them into a literary work.

René Hamann has lived in Berlin since 2003 and works as a freelance writer and journalist. He published in Spex , was the literary editor of the daily newspaper Junge Welt from 2011 to 2013 , for which he continues to write regularly, and is opinion editor of the daily newspaper .
