Saajan ( Hindi :; German: Beloved ) is a Bollywood film that was released in India in 1991 .
action
The orphaned, poor and limping Aman ( Sanjay Dutt ) befriends the rich Akash Verma ( Salman Khan ) in his childhood . Akash introduces Aman to his parents, they adopt him and give him their family name. Akash and Aman grow up like brothers. Akash is a playboy and Aman writes poetry under the name Sagar, which makes him famous. One of his fans is a young woman named Pooja Saxena ( Madhuri Dixit). They corresponded with each other for a few months and Pooja falls in love with the writer, but Aman does not dare to reveal his identity due to his disability. When Akash sees Pooja, he falls head over heels in love with her. Aman finds out and asks Akash to pretend to be Sagar. In the end, Akash finds out that Aman is actually Sagar and loves Pooja. For Aman's sake Akash sacrifices his love.
