The Saar Squash Rackets Association (SSRV) is one of 12 regional associations of the German Squash Association .
meaning
The SSRV acts as the umbrella organization for all squash clubs in Saarland. After the squash boom of the 1970s and 1980s, the number of members fell sharply. While there were half a dozen clubs in Saarbrücken in the 1990s , there are only three left today. For some years now, however, the associations in the regional association have been able to either maintain their membership numbers or even increase them slightly again.
Game operation
league
Due to its comparatively small size, the SSRV has been running a joint league operation with the Rhineland-Palatinate state association since the 1990s. The highest common league is the regional league (second highest national league). This is followed by a joint upper league and a joint association league .
Cup
At the end of each season there is a cup round with purely Saarland participation, the Saarland Cup . This is played in knockout mode, every Saarland club can register teams of three players for the cup in the league, regardless of the number of teams.
