Sabba, the witch (original title: La visione del sabba or La sorcière) , is a Franco-Italian feature film, which was directed in 1988 by Marco Bellocchio .

Young psychiatrist David is just finishing college when he is supposed to judge young Maddalena who murdered a hunter. She claims to be a 17th century witch who works on behalf of the devil. She goes on to say that she has been looking for a man for 300 years. A public administration worker tells David that he has reason to believe her. Already after his first meeting with the attractive Maddalena, David begins to change: he ignores his beautiful young wife Cristina and loses himself in dreams and hallucinations in which he takes part in investigations by the Inquisition and erotic witch circles.
