Sabine Hass

Sabine Hass (born April 8, 1949 in Braunschweig ; † February 17, 1999 in Klagenfurt ) was a German opera singer ( soprano ) who celebrated international successes, especially as a Wagner and Strauss singer.

Life

Sabine Hass grew up in Munich. At the age of 5 she received violin lessons from her father, the chamber musician Ernst Hass. At the age of 16 she began her vocal studies with Karl-Heinz Lohmann in Berlin, which she continued with Esther Mühlbauer in Munich at the Richard Strauss Conservatory . In 1970 Sabine Hass made her debut at the Stuttgart State Opera , of which she was a member of the ensemble for seven years. She then worked as a freelancer.

The soprano has made guest appearances on the world's major music stages, in Munich, Berlin, Dresden, Vienna, London, Paris, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt / Main, Hamburg, Naples, Turin, Lisbon, Salzburg, Rio de Janeiro and others. a. m. From 1991 to 1994 she sang Senta in The Flying Dutchman at the Bayreuth Festival .
