Sabine Johannsen

Sabine Johannsen (born January 23, 1954 in Oberhausen ) is a German economist and political officer . Since November 22, 2017, she has been State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry for Science and Culture .

Life

From 1973 to 1979 Johannsen studied economics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and studied economics in Michigan in 1980. From 1980 to 1985 she was employed as a research assistant at Kiel University and received her doctorate in 1985. Between 1985 and 1991, Johannsen was employed at the Landesbank Schleswig-Holstein in the area of economics & strategic planning , moved to NORD / LB in Hanover in 1992 . She worked at Norddeutsche Landesbank until 2003, most recently in the role of managing director of the state trustee offices. Afterwards she was a member of the board of the Investment and Development Bank Lower Saxony (NBank) .

On November 22, 2017, Sabine Johannsen was appointed State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry for Science and Culture by Minister Björn Thümler as part of the formation of the Weil II cabinet . She is the successor to Andrea Hoops .

Johannsen has been married since 1980 and has three children.
