Sabine Kudera (born August 30, 1942 ) is a German sociologist , emeritus professor at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and a local politician for the SPD .

After studying at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich with Karl Martin Bolte , she dealt with issues of work sociology and social change .

In 1989 she turned to politics and was elected First Mayor of Ottobrunn . As a female social democrat, she was an exception in the otherwise CSU- dominated community. She was re-elected in 1995 and 2001, but did not run again in 2007. She was awarded the honorary title of former mayor by the municipality of Ottobrunn .

In 2010 she founded the Ottobrunner Kontaktkreis Siebenbürgen / Romania e. V.

In 2017 she was made an honorary citizen following a resolution by the Ottobrunn municipal council.

She lives in Ottobrunn.
