Sabine Monauni

Sabine Monauni (born April 10, 1974 ) is a Liechtenstein diplomat . She has been the ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Belgium since 2016 .

career

After studying law at the University of St. Gallen , Monauni completed a post-graduate degree in European law ( LL.M. ) at the College of Europe in Bruges. She then worked as a legal assistant since 2001 and as deputy head of the EEA staff unit in Vaduz since 2003 . In 2010 she moved to the EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) in Brussels , where Monauni was responsible for internal market law as a member of the college . Liechtenstein was the first state to propose a woman for this office. After three and a half years, she returned to Vaduz in 2014, where she worked as an embassy counselor in the Office for Foreign Affairs and then in the Ministry of Society (Ministry of Health and Social Affairs).

As the successor to Kurt Jäger , who moved to Washington, DC , Sabine Monauni was accredited as Ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Brussels in July 2016 . Minister and Deputy Ambassador is currently Stefan Barriga (as of July 2019).

Private life

Sabine Monauni is married and has two sons. She is a citizen of Moors .
