Satschchere ( Georgian საჩხერე Sačxere / Sačchere , English Sachkhere ) is a small town in Georgia .
geography
It is located in the northern part of the province of Imereti at an altitude of about 510 m . The city has 6140 inhabitants (2014).
traffic
In 1904 the city received a railway connection to the mainline of the country, the Poti – Baku railway line, with the Sestaponi – Satschchere railway . At that time it was a narrow-gauge railway , which later on the customary broad gauge umgespurt was. Today run every passenger daily two pairs of trains between Sachkhere and Kutaisi .
In 2008 the trolleybus Tschiatura , which until then had connected Satschchere with the neighboring Tschiatura , was discontinued .

- The FC Tschichura Satschchere , a football club, plays in the top division of Georgia.
