Sadie Ama (born August 19, 1987 in Paddington , London ; actually Mercedes Louise Hall ) is an English R&B singer.

Career

Sadie is the younger sister of Shola Ama , both come from a musical family. In her childhood, Sadie Ama was a model in front of the camera and appeared in many music videos. In the video for Mama from the Spice Girls , she played Mel B as a child. She was also seen in the video for the top 10 hits Broken Silence by So Solid Crew and 50/50 by Lemar . This also gave her access to the grime and R&B scene and in 2004 she made her first own professional recording: So Sure , supported by rapper Kano and produced by Terror Danjah. The song made an impression on the underground scene and was featured on several sampler albums.

After that, Sadie Ama first concentrated on her school leaving certificate and made another attempt in 2006. She was preparing a new single release and in the BBC's Sound of 2007 forecast she reached number 4. The song Fallin ' was released in January 2007, but did not go beyond number 67 on the charts. She received a nomination in the Newcomer category at the MOBO Awards . However, she did not manage to build on this entry and have further successful releases follow, although an album had already been in preparation. Also from the project A-List of Wiley , where she participated with her sister, nothing was.

It wasn't until the end of 2016 that the singer drew attention again when she supported Tom Zanetti on his hit You Want Me .
