The municipality of Saint-Paul-de-Vézelin was merged with Dancé and Amions on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Vézelin-sur-Loire. The municipality of Saint-Paul-de-Vézelin belonged to the Arrondissement of Roanne and the canton of Boën-sur-Lignonl .
