Amions is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Vézelin-sur-Loire with 298 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The inhabitants are called Amionnais .

On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Amions merged with Dancé and Saint-Paul-de-Vézelin to form the Commune nouvelle Vézelin-sur-Loire. The municipality of Amions belonged to the Arrondissement of Roanne and the canton of Boën-sur-Lignon (until 2015 Saint-Germain-Laval ).

Amions is located 63 kilometers west-northwest of Lyon on the Isable . The municipality of Amions was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Dancé in the north, Saint-Paul-de-Vézelin in the east, Saint-Georges-de-Baroille in the east and southeast, Pommiers in the south and southeast, Saint-Germain-Laval in the south, Saint- Julien-d'Oddes in the southwest and Souternon in the west.

The A89 autoroute runs through the Commune déléguée .
