Life

Özcan is married; her husband Murat, a native of Swabia with Turkish roots, occasionally appears on her YouTube channel. The couple have two daughters together and live in Waghäusel .

Sally's world

In April 2012, while she was still a student, Özcan started her YouTube channel “Sallys Tortenwelt”, on which she initially mainly presented cooking and baking instructions; she soon became a YouTube partner . In 2013 Özcan took part in the television program “ Topfgeldjäger ”, which significantly increased the profile of your channel. A blog was developed around the YouTube presence and, since 2014, a small business with 30 employees and its own web shop , in which, among other things, it sells its own product line. The concept of the YouTube channel was changed. In October 2016, Özcan entered into a cooperation with the Globus supermarket chain ; This includes its own YouTube channel, recipe tips on the company website and recipe cards in separate stands in the stores. In 2017 the program “Sally backt” ran on VOX , in which Özcan bakes so-called “motif cakes” with children and young people. She also signed a cooperation agreement with Interspar in Austria. In 2018, Özcan was a member of the expert jury for the Golden Camera Digital Awards ; In September, VOX began broadcasting another twelve-episode television program called "Einfach Sally".

In addition, she is the “reading ambassador” of the Reading Foundation and is committed to the Bundesverband Kinderhospiz eV, which she supports with the proceeds of her book “Sally & Friends”. In the course of 2018 she set up her own foundation to support a wide variety of projects across Germany.

In 2016, Özcan and her company were nominated and awarded by the state of Baden-Württemberg for the state award for young companies. In 2017 she was awarded the Germany Web Video Prize in the “Food” category.
