action

Tim Templeton is an adventurous and imaginative seven-year-old boy who has fun all day with parents Ted and Janice and who wishes they were always to himself. But one day Tim is surprised when a toddler in a suit shows up at his house and Ted and Janice proudly call him Tim's little brother. Tim is jealous of the attention the baby receives, not to mention suspicious and strange behavior on the part of the child in the absence of the parents, but his parents are trying to convince him that they will love each other.

Tim soon hears that the baby can talk like an adult and he introduces himself as the boss . Seeing an opportunity to get rid of him, Tim records a conversation between him and other toddlers who are in Tim's house for a meeting to do something about puppies getting more love than babies - while parents think they are play. The baby and the other toddlers follow Tim with the audio cassette, which is eventually destroyed by a car. With no evidence to support him, Tim is placed under house arrest for being aggressive towards the babies.

The boss baby comes to Tim and persuades him to suckle on a pacifier, which she takes virtually to Baby Corp. transported to a place where adult intelligence infants work to keep infant love everywhere. The baby explains to Tim that he was sent on a mission to see why puppies get more love than infants, and that he was introduced into Tim's family because his parents work for Puppy Co. who want to bring out a new puppy. The baby also explains that he can act like an adult by drinking a substance called Secret Baby Formula . But if you don't consume it regularly, you will become a normal baby again. He's hoping to get a promotion if he can uncover the secret of Puppy Co.'s new puppies. At an open house at the company, to which Tim's parents take the two of them, they discover the documents for this project. Francis E. Francis, the boss of Puppy Corp., takes the two prisoners and explains to them that he was once a baby, but was fired because of his lactose intolerance. He now wants the Baby Corp. destroy to get revenge. To do this, he wants to inject the Secret Baby Formula into puppies so that they always stay young. A fight begins, at the end of which he himself falls into the Secret Baby Formula , making him a baby again. The Boss Baby Goes Back to Baby Corp. and the parents' memories of the baby are erased. However, Tim misses Boss Baby, who is not happy at his desk job either. Tim asks Boss Baby in a letter if he would like to live with him, whereupon it takes off its suit and returns to Tim's family as a normal baby.
