Salim Kechiouche (born April 2, 1979 in Lyon ) is a French actor .

Life

Salim Kechiouche grew up as the son of Algerian immigrants in Vaulx-en-Velin in the Banlieue of Lyon. He was initially an amateur kickboxer. His acting career began when he was discovered by Gaël Morel for the 1996 film À toute vitesse . He was to make other films with Morel, including the drama The Day That Changed Everything ( Après lui , 2007) with Catherine Deneuve . He starred as Hicham in the French drama BrüderLiebe (2004; Le Clan ), directed by Morels. In the film he played the Arab classmate and friend of the youngest brother Olivier, who fell in love with him. In the short film Gigolo (2005) by Bastian Schweitzer he played with Amanda Lear , the film took part in the competition at the Berlinale 2005 .

He posed for three works by Pierre et Gilles in connection with the film A Criminal Couple .

Parallel to his film career, Kechiouche began a theater career in 2002.
