Le noir (te) vous va si bien ( Black suits her well ) is a French film by Jacques Bral from 2012 about the cultural turmoil of a young Muslim woman and her father.

action

Cobra is the daughter of a Muslim immigrant family in France. Her father Moncef wants to marry her off. Your boss is in love with you. But she wants to choose for herself. One day, a friend of her father's surprised her in the café where she takes off her veil every morning.

Statement of the film

The film shows an oriental father who is overwhelmed by the, for him absurd, rules of the western world. He feels uprooted, while his son has managed to integrate better.

The film continues to show a young woman's search for freedom. Who wants to live like the other women around her. A problem that Muslim women in Western Europe still have.

With Le noir (te) vous va si bien Jacques Bral shows the true and archaic human soul even if it actually lives in a modern body. Men still dominate women, although the western world would like to be tolerant, it still does not succeed in shedding these old behavior patterns.

Since the film does not take sides and shows the simply mismatched components of two cultures, this film is very well suited to be used for teaching and training purposes.
