Sallitz is a village and district of the city of Regen, seven kilometers away, in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen . The closest place is the Obermitterdorf district, which also belongs to Regen , at a distance of two kilometers.

Sallitz was first mentioned in a document in 1254. To mark the 750th anniversary of this date, in 2004, the Sallitzers celebrated a three-day festival in June. Since then, Sallitz has been an agricultural village which, compared to other villages, still has many farms that focus on maize cultivation , among other things .
