Reinhartsmais is a district of the city of Regen in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen . Until 1854 it formed an independent municipality.
location
Reinhartsmais is located in the rain depression about three kilometers southwest of Regen on state road 2135 (formerly federal road 11 ).
history
Reinharstmais was a ministerial seat in the middle of the monastic landownership of Niederaltaich Monastery . Rugerus de Reinhartsmaizz published his fiefdoms around 1262 at the request of Abbot Hermann . In 1418, Agnes, widow of Johann von Reinhartsmais, contracted several goods to Hans II von Degenberg to secure her retirement .
From the middle of the 16th century, Reinhartsmais was united with the other court brands Au ( Schlossau ), Zell , Höllmannsried and March as a property complex in one hand. From 1651 the property belonged to the Barons von Donnersberg. After the death of the last Donnersberger in 1737, it was placed under the supervision of the state authorities and finally acquired by Friedrich Dominik Freiherrn von Widmann. In 1752 Reinhartsmais consisted of eight properties. Reinhartsmais and the entire property complex were sold by the Widmanns to Johann Georg von Hafenbrädl in 1785. Hofmark Reinhartsmais, which was united with Au, remained in the hands of the Hafenbrädls as the patrimonial court of Au until the dormant jurisdiction was finally withdrawn by the Regen district court on June 6, 1840.
The manorial rural community Reinhartsmais was formed in 1821 from the closed Hofmark Reinhartsmais, the manorial Schlossau and the Pertinenzhof Kagerhof. When the patrimonial court in Au was dissolved in 1840 and the subjects were subordinated to the Regen district court, the lordly community of Reinhartsmais was merged with the district court community of Oberneumais by giving up its name . It took some time before the small community was ready. It was not until May 9, 1854, that the royal government in Landshut forwarded a request to the State Ministry of the Interior, in which the 15 community members of Reinhartsmais asked for union with the community of Oberneumais.
On May 30, 1854, the State Ministry of the Interior ordered the unification of the communities Reinhartsmais and Oberneumais to form the political community Oberneumais. With the municipality of Oberneumais, Reinhartsmais was incorporated into the district town of Regen on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
